Pro Loco di Porto Badisco

The Pro Loco di Porto Badisco association was founded on 17 April 1988 by a group of lovers of the clear, restorative waters of this small inlet, with the aim of protecting and promoting its natural and historical beauty.

The Pro Loco is based in the historic Fishermen’s House, a small building on the road leading down to the harbour, with a breathtaking view.

The symbol of the Pro Loco is the so-called Shaman, a figure of extraordinary fascination, preserved deep in the earth inside the Grotta dei Cervi (Deer Cave), a few hundred metres from our office.

Love for the land and the wish both to protect it and to make it known to as many people as possible drive our roughly 100 members each year to organise and promote events that attract many tourists from all over Italy.

The Pro Loco di Porto Badisco is registered in the National Register of social promotion associations under no. 56 (law 383/00) of 19/10/2004, and in the General Register of social promotion associations of the Puglia Region under no. 1 since 29/04/2004. It is a member of UNPLI Puglia, the regional branch of the National Union of Pro Locos of Italy.
